The Libyans’ hospitality was astounding. Even the desert camp was well outfitted.
But when we returned to Tripoli, Jamal, our tour guide, invited all seventeen of us into his father’s home for a traditional Libyan dinner. He had managed to surprise us again.
There follow some images from our visit to a country long isolated. And so, it is a country which remains unsullied by the excesses of tourism.
